Being a mom is hard, let’s do it together.
Hi! I am Ellie, a project manager, mom of two (plus a dog), NAPS Certified Moms Support Group Leader, and founder of Moms Together LLC. I am thrilled to be offering moms support groups in the Milton area starting in early April.
My husband and I moved to Milton in 2020 and love living here with our 4yo son, 14mo daughter, and fluff ball doodle. We spend lots of time outside scooting around the neighborhood each morning and evening, and going to all of the parks we’re lucky to have around.
Becoming a mom threw me for a huge loop! I was prepared with all of the things I needed for the baby, but was completely unprepared for how overwhelming and anxious I would feel taking my son home. How were we supposed to do this!?!? When am I supposed to feel normal? I joined a moms support group through NAPS and immediately felt at ease. The weekly excuse to get out of the house with my son, coupled with having a trained and experienced mom leading the group, to whom I could ask all of my questions instead of googling, was exactly what I needed.
I started Moms Together because being a mom is so hard, but so fun. Research has shown that participating in support groups can improve maternal mental health and reduce feelings of isolation. Having other moms in the exact same phase of parenting gives a crucial outlet to share experiences and normalize what everyone is experiencing, but also laugh at the ridiculous blowouts and things our kids say. Whether you're struggling with feeding your infant, or struggling with tantrums of a toddler, being part of a Moms Together group can help build your community to support you through the rest of your parenting journey.
Moms Together Groups are starting in April at Muscle & Flow in Milton. I will have groups for New Moms, Veteran Moms, Working Moms, Expecting Moms, and Toddler Moms (coming soon). Each group will be a multi-week session with guided topics to educate, validate, and have for open, honest, judgment-free discussion. More than anything, I hope that the moms will create bonds and relationships that will follow even once the groups have concluded.
