Lincoln does not disappoint with Farmer's markets. Local produce, specialty items, hand-crafted wares, live music and tasty treats are just some of the gems that you will find.
All of Lincoln's farmers markets are have free entry but vary in location, parking and size. What should you bring with you? If you have young kids, bring a stroller or wagon. Even though, it may seem like a small space, walking and back and forth and standing while talking to farmers can tire out little legs. Even if your kids are older, wagons are great for hauling back the food that you have purchased.
Farmer's markets are a great way to get kids excited about eating healthy food by showing them the rainbow of colors and allowing them to try fresh samples. I like to give my kids a couple of dollars each and let them choose a fruit or veggie to try and buy. We've not only gotten fresh food at the markets but also gifts (kids' aprons) and home decor (front door signs).

Saturdays:
The Haymarket Farmers' Market is Lincoln's largest market with over 200 vendors. It opens on May 5th and continues through October 14th. Products sold include standard fare, such as food like local produce, beef & poultry, and eggs, and innovative fare including arts & crafts. You'll see products ranging from baked good to homemade root beer to egg rolls. No animals are allowed at the market. Parking is located throughout the Haymarket at one of its many garages. The market is located in the Haymarket at 201 N 7th St from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.
Sundays:
At the Sunday Farmer's Market at College View you'll find fresh local produce, artisan cheeses, natural meats, eggs, plants, baked goods and more. We have a wide variety of vendors, ranging from grass-fed beef to flowers. There are more than 60 vendors at this producer-only market. This market allows well-behaved dogs. Just make sure your pooch is on a leash.
Vendors accept cash, but if customers come without cash, we can run their debit/credit/EBT cards at our Market Info Booth. Customers specify how much they want to run their cards for and then receive tokens in exchange that then work like cash. If they buy $2 worth of carrots with their $5 token, the vendor will give them $3 in cash. We don't refund unused tokens. They are always good, though, so any tokens purchased last year can be used this year-- they essentially work just like cash.
This market takes places at 4801 Prescott Avenue from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM every week (except May 6th when it is open 3:00-6:00 PM), is open rain or shine and Opening Day is April 29th and runs through October.
