I moved to Pasadena when I was 13 years old-and almost immediately, I knew that Rumor's Salon & Spa was THE place to go for beauty services. I won't date myself and tell you how long it's been-but fast forward to 2017-and it's STILL the place to go!
Last Sunday, we hosted 9 moms along with our team at Rumor's for a pampering session. Let me tell you, it runs like an oiled machine. Jessica Kenealy helped me plan and execute the entire day with the precision of an Army General and the class of an European Queen. She thought of every detail when it came down to the schedule and ensuring that each mom was assigned to a stylist or make up artists who would fit their particular needs. The salon was spotless and welcoming-the team was friendly, helpful-and were just as excited to be spending the day with us as we were about spending it with them.
I had my make up applied by Jess G. She not only took the time to make me beautiful, but she asked me about my usual skin care routine and my usual make up routine. Jess G. is also an aesthetician-so she was able to make recommendations to me on skincare, make up and more! It was an added perk to know that she really understands skin. Jess did an amazing job on my make up-she even gave me some gold glittery eye liner which was so fun and made me feel so fancy for a little while! All of the make up artists did fabulous work and the moms were so happy!
A few weeks ago, I had my hair colored and cut by Jess Kenealy. She was able to look at my hair, determine what coloring would look best with my skin tone and make a huge improvement immediately-my color had gotten lighter and lighter and was washing out my face. My cut had become scraggly and stringy and with a few waves of the shears, Jess gave me back body and gorgeous locks. My hair was shiny and beautiful again. It makes me want to actually fix my hair now instead of throwing it back in my 'mom-bun' most days.
On the day of our event, Renee styled my hair. It was gorgeous too-she put a little twist to the side-something I've never done, but it was so simple and looked so cute. I could hear each of the stylists talking to the moms about their typical styles, type of hair, how they usually care for it and more. I heard moms exclaiming how much they loved what was being done to their hair.
Rumors offers a variety of services from hair and nails to massages and even medspa services. Their service providers are amazing, multi-talented and extremely professional. They are now booking appointments for Prom Services! Getting married? Rumors can clearly handle large parties for weddings and special events!
